The Consumer Electronics Show demonstrated tech’s transformative
potential, real-time results and people-centric design. AI’s integration
was prominent, driving innovations across health, mobility, and lifestyle.
Age tech saw significant innovation, with a dedicated area. Highlights
included age-inclusive games from Ageless Innovation, Rendever’s VR
Alcove Sanctuary for connection, and the Lemmy companion robot.

MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025
PREVIEW.
"Mondi Connessi: Designing
for a Connected World," will
take place from April 7-13.
Three subjects - person,
technology and nature -,
created through AI, interpret
and narrate this year's
theme, by Silvia Badalotti.
Circularity emerges as the
central theme of the
campaign: mankind creates
technology, technology
impacts nature,
and damage to nature
inevitably affects mankind.
SPECIAL. EMPATHY SUITE
BY DAMIEN HIRST.
Damien Hirst creates
$100,000-per-night hotel suite
in Las Vegas. Sharks
suspended in formaldehyde,
graphics of oversized pills and
flooring patterned with
butterflies await high-rolling
guests staying in this hotel
suite, which the British artist
has designed for the Palms
Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Concurrently, Nvidia introduced Cosmos, a
physical AI model designed to understand
the real world. This aims to revolutionize
robotics, with humanoid robots poised to
benefit. The expectation is that physical AI
will soon bring a „ChatGPT moment“ to
robotics for more advanced interactions.
Designing for future generations was a key
theme. Toyota announced phase one of
Woven City, a „living laboratory“ for
residents to test new inventions. Homes will
feature robotics for daily life assistance.

A key trend is the merging of smart home and age tech, with a CTA
survey revealing that 80% of US consumers view smart home
technology as beneficial for aging in place.
This integration reflects a growing demand for tech that supports
independent and connected living for seniors. We see the rise of
autonomous tech across industries, from vehicles to pet devices.
