History Museum in Brussels, 9-13 April, 2024.
The Festival illustrated how diverse creators, organisations and projects

THE DOMINICAN DESIGN
HOTEL.
Brussels’ former Dominican
abbey exudes a feeling of
dramatic intimacy with soaring
ceilings, luxurious textiles, and
original stone flooring.
Intellectually challenging
corners of high art and rich
textures combine with wide-
open, well-lit spaces and the
inspiring peace of a cloister-
like setting.
Various panel discussions explored the role of citizens participation,
place-based policies and innovation in driving local transformation.
They delved into the potential of nature-based solutions to enhance
urban life quality and to mitigate
climate change impacts on cities,
or architecture's role in climate
action, since NEB's inception
three years earlier.
For the first time, the Festival
focused on how the NEB
advances sustainability within
the European fashion industry,
aligning with the objectives of
the EU Strategy for Sustainable
and Circular Textiles.
