Last year’s Milan Design Week was a welcome return to form, a comforting
echo of pre-pandemic days. But this year? Forget ‚return‘ – it exploded onto
the scene as a hyped-up mega-festival, a whirlwind of creativity and
energy! Since its inception six decades ago, this edition of Milan Design
Week recorded a significant 30% increase in registrations compared to
previous years. This confirms Milan Design Week as unmissable.
SPECIAL. NHOW HOTEL
MILAN.
Star partner in an industrial
renovation, it has kept its spirit.
NHOW chooses a versatile
location situated in the south
area of Milan: Via Tortona. A
strategic location that becomes
an Avant-Garde creative
laboratory full of lively ideas
and psychedelic atmosphere.
Embracing the theme ‚Where Design Evolves‘, the fair highlights
evolution and innovation as pivotal concepts, providing a compass
for the global design industry. Consumers are rewriting the rules of
engagement with brands seeking partnerships for their complex
needs, rather than “one size fits all”. We all immerse ourselves in
collective moments again.
Cultural factors are a major draw for global brands, particularly now
that the automotive and tech sectors are embracing a purpose-
driven approach. Companies are prioritizing sustainability and
designing meaningful products that resonate with customers who are
seeking a deeper connection.
Prada Frames is going home. The third iteration of the symposium
exploring the complex relationship between the natural environment
and design is hitting the private space, becoming even more layered
because of that. Titled “Being Home,” the three-day symposium,
conceived by Milan and Rotterdam, Netherlands-based design
studio Formafantasma and backed by Prada was held at the Museo
Bagatti Valsecchi on Milan’s tony Via Gesù.
